Culliton produced Michael Yip’s award-winning musical short “The Gay Mafia” and Sarah Taborga’s ball culture doc “Dear Queer Dancer” for PBS. He is currently in post production on “Outage,” a desert alien story from director Graham Kolbeins, starring Emmett Preciado.

Culliton also has decades of experience as talent. Getting his start as a child in Boston’s theater scene and in regional PSA’s, Culliton started hosting the Girl Scout Show on cable access television when he was eleven years old. Culliton makes an appearance in the Agender music video “Top Bottom Top,” an official selection of Outfest 2022, and “American Masculinity” for Tom of Finland at the Liminal Space Gallery.

Along with Kolbeins, Culliton is founder and curator of the 29 Queer Film Festival, a collaboration with the tourism board of Twentynine Palms, CA. 29QFF is an immersive, multi-media festival designed to showcase and celebrate desert-based filmmakers with unique elements like drag bingo, themed snacks from the films, and prop exhibits.

“Jon is a brilliantly cracked filmmaker who has done and is doing projects that are/will be understood as absolute gems of trans culture. Also a TRUE delight of a human.”
